Privacy Policy
How this independent review site handles information about the people who read it.
Try the partner brokerWhat This Site Is
You are reading an independent editorial resource that reviews a broker for readers in Uganda. This site is not the broker, is not connected to the broker, and does not offer financial services, accounts, deposits or advice. That matters for privacy because we collect very little: we are a publication, not a service you sign up for.
When you open a page here, your browser sends routine technical information to whichever server delivers the page. We do not ask you to register, we do not open accounts, and we do not take payments. The sections below explain what happens to the small amount of data that passes through the site, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Information Collected
We collect what your browser automatically sends when it requests a page: the page you asked for, the time of the request, your approximate region as inferred from your network address, the type of device and browser, and the address of the page that referred you here. Server logs record this so the site can be delivered and so faults can be traced.
We also receive anything you choose to type into the contact form on this site, which is normally your message and whatever contact details you decide to include so we can reply. Please send only what is needed for your query.
We do not collect your name or identity unless you give it, we do not ask for financial details, we do not take deposits or account information, and we do not build profiles of individual readers for advertising. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone below the age limits described further down.
Legal Basis
Where data protection rules apply to us, we rely on a small number of grounds. Delivering pages and keeping the site secure and working rests on our legitimate interest in running a functioning publication, balanced against your rights. Responding to a message you send through the contact form rests on your request and our interest in answering it.
Aggregated measurement of how pages are used rests on our legitimate interest in understanding what readers find useful, carried out in a way that does not single anyone out. Where the law requires consent for a particular step, we ask for it before that step and you can withdraw it at any time.
We do not process your information for automated decisions that affect you, and we do not sell it.
Servers And Recipients
The site is served from hosting infrastructure that may sit outside Uganda, and routine technical logs may therefore be stored in another country. Our hosting and technical support providers can see that data only to the extent needed to keep the site online and fix problems.
Analytics measurement may be handled by an external measurement service, and messages sent through the contact form pass through the systems that operate that form. These recipients act on our instructions or under their own terms, and we share only what each task requires.
We do not pass reader information to the broker reviewed on this site, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if a lawful request requires it, and we will keep the disclosure as narrow as the request allows.
Retention
Server logs are kept only as long as needed to keep the site running, investigate faults and maintain security, and are then deleted or reduced to figures that no longer identify anyone. Aggregated measurement is kept in summary form, without individual records.
Messages sent through the contact form are kept for as long as needed to deal with your query and any follow-up, and then removed. If a message becomes part of a record we must keep for a legal reason, we hold only that part and only for as long as the law requires.
When a retention period ends, the data is deleted or made anonymous.
Children And Rights
This site is written for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen. If you believe a child has sent us information, use the contact form on this site and we will remove it.
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct anything wrong, ask us to delete it, or object to processing based on our legitimate interests. You can also ask us to restrict how we use it. Use the contact form on this site, describe your request, and we will respond within the period the applicable law sets. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority that covers you.
Analytics on this site is used in aggregate: we look at which pages are read and how often, not at who read them. We do not use it to identify you or to follow you across other sites.
